SonySony PS4 game console : Many rumors appeared on the internet about the successor of the popular Sony PlayStation 3. The game consoles from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo are not replaced every year, which certainly increases the interest in a new game console. The PlayStation 3 was first announced in 2005, high time for a successor. For a long time we hear speculations about when to expect the new Sony PlayStation 4. The wait is rewarded, because it looks like the official introduction of the Sony PlayStation 4 will take place tomorrow. Subsequently Sony will held the Destination PlayStation 2013 event from 25 to 28 February, where the new PlayStation 4 will be exhibited.

Sony already introduced a teaser video in which they show that the Sony PlayStation 4 wil be fully backwards compatible. That means that all of the PS3 games can also be played on the PS4. This way Sony can take all the benefits of Gaikai, a cloud gaming service they have purchased. Gaikai does not seem to support to the new PlayStation 4 games because it has a maximum output resolution of 720p. As with the PS3, Sony will most likely also introduce some exclusive games for the Sony PS4. The Sony PlayStation 4 will also carry a more competitive price tag than its predecessor. There is even talk of a price reduction of about 25%, which implies that the Sony PS4 price will be set at €400 EUR / £300 GBP / $400 USD.

Microsoft XBox 720
The Nintendo Wii U was introduced at the end of last year, the PlayStation 4 seems to hit the shelves in the second quarter of 2013 and then of course the question remains how long will Microsoft wait to introduce the successor of the Xbox 360. There is intense speculation that the new game console from Microsoft will be called Xbox 720. The specifications would be slightly less interesting, the PS4 is supposed to have 8GB RAM and 1,84 teraflops, while the Xbox 720 gets equipped with 4GB RAM memory and 1,32 teraflops. Whether the Microsoft Xbox 720 price will also be less is yet unknown. For now it remain just speculations, but tomorrow we expect to get at least more clarity on the Sony PlayStation 4 game console.
