Sony Mobile presents the Xperia Z premium smartphone : The Sony Xperia Z is powered by the Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor and a large 5-inch 1080p full HD touchscreen. The Sony Xperia Z has all the technical specs expected from a premium smartphone including a fast 13 Megapixel digital camera and 4G LTE support. In addition, it features unique technology, content and connectivity to deliver a rich user experience. In selected markets, Sony Mobile will offer a design variant of Xperia Z. The Sony Xperia ZL mobile handset delivers the same entertainment experiences as Xperia Z but in a smaller form factor. Both Sony Xperia smartphones will be released in the first quarter of 2013.

The Sony Xperia Z smartphone also includes battery 'Stamina Mode' that can improve the standby time by four times or more by automatically shutting down battery-draining apps whenever the touchscreen is turned-off and starting them up again when the display is back on.
