SonySony Mobile presents the Xperia Z premium smartphone : The Sony Xperia Z is powered by the Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor and a large 5-inch 1080p full HD touchscreen. The Sony Xperia Z has all the technical specs expected from a premium smartphone including a fast 13 Megapixel digital camera and 4G LTE support. In addition, it features unique technology, content and connectivity to deliver a rich user experience. In selected markets, Sony Mobile will offer a design variant of Xperia Z. The Sony Xperia ZL mobile handset delivers the same entertainment experiences as Xperia Z but in a smaller form factor. Both Sony Xperia smartphones will be released in the first quarter of 2013.

The amazing 5-inch reality display is powered by Sony Mobile Bravia Engine 2 and brings long-standing TV expertise to the smartphone to deliver an breathtaking mobile viewing experience. The Sony Xperia Z smartphone shares capabilities with Sony digital cameras and features 'Exmor RS' for mobile, the world's first image sensor with 'High Dynamic Range' video functionality for smartphones. High Dynamic Range technology gives clear pictures against strong backlight, so users can capture sharp photos and high-definition movies whatever the weather conditions.

Precision manufactured and engineered with premium materials, the Xperia Z introduces a unique design with smooth rounded edges and reflective surfaces on all sides. Despite its slim 7.9mm body, the Xperia Z is highly durable with tempered glass and anti-shatter film on the front and back, as well as the highest levels of dust and water resistance (IP55 and IP57 specification) found in a premium smartphone. The Sony Xperia Z smartphone also includes battery 'Stamina Mode' that can improve the standby time by four times or more by automatically shutting down battery-draining apps whenever the touchscreen is turned-off and starting them up again when the display is back on.
