 Casio Exilim EX-ZR300 test photos : A sensitive 16 megapixel CMOS sensor, a powerful Exilim Engine HS image processor, and a High Speed autofocus system form the basis for the ultra-fast Exilim EX-ZR300 camera. Equipped with a 24mm wide-angle lens with 12.5 optical zoom, this top model delivers sparkling zoom photos with a lot of detail. Next to the optical zoom function, the camera is also equipped with a so-called Multi SR Zoom. This doubles the 12.5x optical zoom to become a 25x digital zoom, while maintaining optical image quality. Next to taking zoom photos, the EX-ZR300 is also ideal for macro photography. The camera can capture subjects up to a distance of 1cm, resulting in detailed macro photos.

Casio Exilim photo functions
It is a pleasure to shoot with the Casio ZR300. Next to comfortable handling and a compact format, the Casio EX-ZR300 is equipped with countless interesting functions for action photography. For example, there is a High Speed Photo and Movie mode available. In maximum resolution, the camera can capture a mere 30 photos per second, with a shutter speed of 40fps. Various HDR functions allow you to play with the lighting. Additionally, there is a background-blur scene mode available, to take professional photos with blurry backgrounds.
Shooting photos with the Casio EX-ZR300
For the amateur photographer, the EX-ZR300 is equipped with the Premium Auto Pro mode, which can be selected via the settings dial. The user then no longer has to worry about the camera settings for one second; they are automatically adjusted according to the shot. The more ambitious photographer will value the manual functions. Especially for action photography, the standard settings are not always sufficient, and it is handy to be able to play with the different settings.
