Making video recordings has increased in popularity in recent years. Previously, you had to acquire a separate video camera in order to achieve high quality videos, and even then it took a lot of practice to be able to make beautiful videos. These days, even smartphones are already equipped with HD or Full HD video functions. The fact that the Canon EOS 650D also has a Full HD video mode is no surprise, although the addition of continuous AF is new. The renewed Hybrid AF system makes it possible for the camera to follow a subject and continue focusing on it. This certainly improves the quality of the video recording! There is also a built-in microphone available that records stereo sound. The sound is clear, although wind can cause some noise.
Full HD videos with the EOS 650D
Shooting Full HD videos with the EOS 650D is very pleasant. There is a separate recording button available, and if desired, you can adjust all of the settings according to your wishes. Afterwards, it is very easy to edit the video; you can even cut the videos. With the Video Snapshot mode, you can make short films. The recordings can be captured in two, four, or eight second segments and these can then be combined or arranged within the camera itself, before they are shown.

For the test videos below, we used the Canon EOS 650D SLR camera in combination with the EF 40mm 1:2.8 STM pancake lens. The Canon EOS test videos were made during a wedding in Pamukçu, a small village in the municipality of Balikesir, Turkey.
