 Canon EOS 650D photo gallery : The EOS 650D is at the top of Canon’s entry-level DSLR camera range. It is an 18 megapixel SLR camera with a touchscreen display, a double AF-system and an extensive ISO range. The camera feels solid, has a good grip and delivers outstanding image quality. The EOS 650D is especially suited for ambitious photographers that want a camera that they can grow with. Next to many automatic functions and programs, it is also possible to take complete control of the camera, when shooting photos as well as video recordings. The Full HD video function on the EOS 650D is extensive, with continuous AF, so that the camera follows the subject and keeps focusing on it.

The 18 megapixel Hybrid CMOS-sensor and DIGIC 5 image processor make it possible to shoot high resolution photos at a speed of 5 images per second. The Canon EOS 650D clearly has a faster response, but does miss some speed in the Live View mode, especially when you compare this with the speed of current advanced system cameras. The final image quality of the EOS 650D is none the lesser. This SLR camera shoots spectacular photos with nice bokeh-effects. The extensive ISO range of 100 - 12,800, extendable to 25,600, offers many possibilities and with the EOS 650D, you are free to determine to what extent you will use the 3-inch tilting touchscreen display.
Photography with the EOS 650D
There are diverse new creative effects available on the EOS 650D, such as ‘Art Bold’ and “Water Painting’, which you can now select via the touchscreen. Next to the Scene Intelligent Auto mode, there are two new programs available for the amateur photographer. HDR Backlight Control helps in situations with difficult lighting, while Handheld Night Scene makes it possible to take sharp night shots without a tripod. That the EOS 650D is not only suitable for amateur photographers is shown by the complete manual operation. The Canon EOS 650D is a fine camera with outstanding image quality. The camera has a very good price/quality ratio with a price tag of € 600 for the body only.

Canon EOS 650D test photos
The following Canon EOS 650D test photos were taken with a full production camera, during a wedding in the village of Pamukçu, in the municipality of Balikesir, Turkey. The test photos were shot in combination with the EF 40mm f/2.8 STM pancake lens, which is a compact, yet versatile lens with STM-focusing.
