 Nikon Coolpix P310 Black & white test photos : In the beginning of this year, Nikon introduced a new Coolpix Performance compact camera. Due to its compact size, the Coollpix P310 is easy to carry along, without compromising on image quality. The extreme powerful and user friendly Nikon Coolpix P310 incorporates a 16 megapixel CMOS-sensor with backside illumination, a bright and fast f/1.8 Nikkor lens with 4.2x optical zoom and wide-angle range, advanced vibration reduction with lens-shift, a Full HD video function and a 3-inch LCD display with high resolution. We took the Nikon Coolpix P310 with us to shoot a series of black & white photos.

Since the digital age, fewer and fewer pictures are captured in black and white. Actually this is quite a shame, especially since black & white photography lets you completely focus on the subject. Because your eyes do not get distracted by different colors, the shapes and lines in the picture come into their own. Besides a good composition, light is also a very important factor with black & white photos. Usually you can say; the more contrast the more powerful the photo. Black & white photography can be used for a large range of subjects, from (winter)landscapes to portraits and old subjects, like a weathered shed.
