NikonNew Nikon 1 V2 system camera : Nikon is proud to announce the ultra-fast successor to the 1 V1. The new Nikon 1 V2 is the first camera in the family to be equipped with second-generation Nikon 1 technology. Building on the success of the Nikon 1, being the biggest-selling compact camera system across Europe, the Nikon 1 V2 comes with an incredible speed and beautiful portable design. Designed for enthusiast photographers that like to travel light, the new 1 V2 ensures that no one has to compromise on the quality of still pictures and videos. Offering new levels of speed and more accurate performance, as well as clever next-generation features, full creative control, and wireless methods of image transfer, the Nikon 1 V2 is a versatile main camera and a superb second camera.

Full speed with the Nikon 1 V2
The Nikon 1 V2 raises the bar when it comes to photographic intelligence and beauty at world-beating speeds. Being equipped with the new Expeed 3A dual-image processor from Nikon, the new 1 V2 processes images at an incredible speed. Swift shooting can be recorded with speeds up to 15 fps with continuous autofocus, and up to 60 fps with fixed-point AF - enabling the photographer to capture high-quality photos of super-fast action. The Nikon 1 V2 makes subjects come into focus without delay, thanks to the advanced hybrid AF system that boasts fast phase-detection AF for high-speed movement, and contrast-detect AF for capturing subtle details even in low light.

14.2 megapixel Nikon 1 V2 camera
The new system camera from Nikon not only offers increased image resolution, the 14.2 megapixel Nikon 1 V2 is also better capable of shooting in low light situations with a ISO light sensitivity ranging from 160 to 6400. Nikon’s CX-format CMOS sensor offers the ideal balance between system size, speed, light sensitivity, resolution, and depth-of-field - sacrificing portability. The option to shoot with high ISO settings means that the Nikon V2 can capture enough light even when shooting at speeds of up to 60 fps, and an automatic image sensor cleaning function minimizes the effect of dust.

Full HD video recording with the Nikon V2
Shoot in advanced movie mode with the Nikon 1 V2 and you can record Full HD movies at 60 and 30 fps and 60i, 60p, and 30p frame rates, with full control over shutter speed and aperture. Record videos with a smaller frame size and you can achieve dramatic effects in extreme slow motion, with recording speeds of up to 1200fps. The Nikon 1 V2 also offers the possibility to capture full-resolution photos (aspect ratio 3:2) while filming a Full HD video, this way you can get the best of both worlds!
