SamsungSamsung Series 5 & Series 7 Slate PCs : Samsung introduced the new Series 5 and Series 7 Slate PCs. These new products can easily transform from a traditional clamshell PC to a Samsung Slate PC, with just the click of a button. Series 5 and Series 7 Samsung Slate PCs are designed for Windows 8 with Samsung’s advanced engineering and a ten-point touchscreen, users can easily stay connected and productive from everywhere. Additionally, Samsung announced a new touchscreen version of its popular 13 inch Series 5 Ultra laptop. Both the Series 7 and Series 5 Slate PCs have a Samsung S Pen conveniently embedded in a slot on the device. Samsung Slate PC users can also take advantage of preloaded services such as MediaHub.

Weighing less than two pounds, the new Samsung Series Slate PCs are designed to go anywhere. The keyboard dock attaches with a mechanical hinge so that users can pick up the Slate PC with one hand without fear of the pieces separating. The keyboard and display were designed as one device and the components fit seamlessly when connected. This Samsung Series Slate PCs design also makes the devices easier to use, carry and store. Samsung’s renowned design inspiration is evident through the device’s curved edges and smooth lines. Both the Samsung Series 5 and Series 7 Slate PCs feature an 11.6-inch display. The Series 7 Slate PC display is 1920x1080 resolution; the Series 5 Slate PC has a 1366 x 768 resolution. The Samsung Series 5 Ultra features a 1366x768 resolution display with Samsung’s SuperBright Technology (300 nits).

The retail price of the new Series 5 Ultra laptop will range from $ 799 to $ 849. The price for the Series 7 Slate PC is $ 1.199. The Series 5 Slate PC will be available both with the keyboard dock, for a retail price of $ 749 or without, for a price of $ 649.
