The Amber Alert GPS device incorporates a solid base of easy-to-use features, including the ability to set customizable zones around places a child frequents, location updates every five minutes, an SOS button and speed notifications (allowing parents to know if their child is in a car going faster than they would like), the new Amber Alert GPS device incorporates simple and quality elements.

The new Amber Alert GPS device debuts a two-way calling function that allows a parent to speak directly to their child, or allows a child to call a parent anytime directly from the device - giving families’ reassurance that their kids are safe - without sacrificing childhood independence. Other new features include integration with the National Sex Offender database (updated every 24 hours), alerting parents via email or text when their child comes within 500 feet of a registered sex offender’s home, longer battery life and an updated look and design. Also, for the first time, parents will be able to track their child’s location on their Smartphone with the new Amber Alert GPS "Parent" mobile web app.

Working in conjunction with the Amber Alert GPS device and web portal to provide simple, one-touch access to a child’s location, the free Amber Alert GPS “Parent” app is designed to make life easier for busy, on-the go parents. The addition of the “Parent” app puts the features of the Amber Alert GPS portal right at a parent’s fingertips; allowing parents to enable alerts, view a child’s location on a map, and simultaneously track multiple Amber Alert GPS devices, all from their Smartphone. The Amber Alert GPS “Parent” app is currently available for free download for Android users - an iPhone version will be available in the coming weeks.
