Canon PowerShot A2300 test videos : The Canon PowerShot A2300 is a sleek, colorful and user-friendly beginner digital camera with a 16 megapixel resolution, 5x optical zoom lens and a 2.7" LCD display. The stylish metal body is available in four different colors: black, silver, red, and blue. The PowerShot A2300 is equipped with a video function. The Canon PowerShot A2300 can record videos in 720p HD video resolution. A new feature compared with its predecessor, the PowerShot A2200, is a separate video button on the back of the camera. By pushing the red Movie button, recording starts immediately. Unfortunately, the camera does not have an optical image stabilization system, and this is very noticeable.

Next to the HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels) that can capture 25 images per second, it is also possible to shoot video with a resolution of 640x480 pixels. This resolution makes it possible to shoot 30 minutes and 1 hour of consecutive video. The miniature effect is also available in the video mode. There are no other video settings. The 5x optical zoom is not available in the video mode. The digital zoom can be used, but that diminishes the quality. The Canon PowerShot A2300’s video quality is ok, but the video is affected by shocks due to the lack of optical image stabilizer.
