The 18.2 megapixel CMOS sensor, together with the powerful Bionz processor, makes clear, noiseless photos. Noise suppression does seem to work too aggressively, so that details become a bit blotchy. Additionally, about fifteen scenes as well as seven artistic filter effects can be applied. You can also take macro photos, panorama shots and 3D photos with the Sony DSC-HX20V.
