Thanks to the 'touch to focus' function, you only have to tap the screen to change the focal point, so that a substantially improved focus/depth is achieved, a function that was not available previously on a smartphone. There is also the possibility of taking a 1920x1080-pixel photo while shooting a video.

The Samsung Galaxy S3, just like the Galaxy S2, is equipped with a camera on the front. The video resolution of this camera has improved. The Galaxy S3 has a 720p HD front-facing camera, with which you can easily shoot a video of yourself, such as a fun video message.

The Galaxy S3 has three video effects: Negative, Black&White, and Sepia. These effects can be easily selected in the Video Settings menu. Another video setting is a Timer to delay the video recording a few seconds. The brightness, white balance, and resolution can also be adjusted, as well as placing a grid.
