Nikon Coolpix L810 test videos : The Coolpix L810 is the flagship within the Nikon Life-series and next to taking high resolution photos, it can also shoot HD video in 1280x720 pixel resolution. The Nikon L810 camera registers 30 images per second, in HD as well as in VGA quality. The back of the camera has a separate film recording button, so that you can start recording a video immediately. The powerful 26x optical zoom with auto focus is also available while shooting a video clip. The Nikon L810 is able to record audio. Using regular alkaline batteries, you can shoot almost two hours of consecutive video, with Lithium and EN-MH2 batteries it is even longer.

The Nikon L810 makes nice videos, the quality is Ok, but not great. You can hear a lot of wind noise, even when the wind noise reduction is turned on. When using the zoom button it is even audible, and the camera needs some time to focus again after zooming in or out. However, it is a camera that is available for less than 200 Euros. If you want to get the most out of your videos, then the 100 Euros more expensive Coolpix P510 would be a good upgrade. To take a fun video now and then, the Coolpix L810 is sufficient.
