NokiaNokia 808 PureView test photos : Earlier this week Nokia unveiled a new smartphone with very unique camera specifications. The Nokia 808 runs on the familiar Symbian Belle OS from Nokia and is equipped with the new PureView image technologies. The Nokia 808 PureView is equipped with a 41 megapixel image sensor. Such high resolution and large sensor has never been seen before on a smartphone. The 5x larger sensor of the Nokia 808 makes capturing beautiful high resolution photos and fluent Full HD videos easier than ever. The Nokia 808 features a bright Carl Zeiss lens that offers more depth of field control and also performs better in low-light environments.

Standard the Nokia 808 captures photos in 5 megapixel resolution. This does not sound so spectacular, but new is the fact that the 41 megapixel sensor condenses 7 pixels into one perfect pixel. This way the 5 megapixels are fully exploited, making the picture quality better than ever. Besides the surprising resolution, the Nokia 808 camera also offers a zoom function. When taking photos (up to 8 megapixels) the Nokia 808 camera can zoom up to 3x without loss of quality, for even more detailed photos. In addition, the digital camera of the Nokia 808 has been equipped with an advanced autofocus system, for more precision and a higher sensitivity, also when recording Full HD videos.
