Creative digital photography
The Creative Filters in the Canon SX260 HS means you can add a new level of creative photography with eight effects to make your pictures and movies stand out. Add a romantic touch with the new Soft Focus, and produce perfect portrait photos with the Smooth Skin setting which evens out skin tone for a more flattering effect. Alternatively, change the way you look at landscapes with the Miniature Effect filter making the scene resemble a scale model.
Canon GPS Technology
The Canon PowerShot SX 260 HS camera is equipped with Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. Now you can travel the world and let the camera automatically record the locations and local times of your photos and videos. The Canon GPS camera can also use the GPS system to automatically set the exact time. You can maximize the usefulness of the GPS feature by using the special bundled Map Utility software that makes it fun to share the memories of your world adventures. In addition to displaying all your pictures' locations on a world map, the camera's GPS system can also track your route from photo to photo - a great way to visualize your trips.
Special PowerShot features
You can capture great pictures in religious monuments or museums without disturbing other visitors thanks to the new 'Discreet photo mode' and with the optional Canon waterproof case, you can also take your digital camera to depths down to 40 meters - capturing all the beautiful scenery both above and below the waves.
