Olympus E-M5 system camera : Olympus introduces a very unique system camera. The new Olympus E-M5, also known as the Olympus OM-D, is the 'successor' of the 40 year old OM-cameras from Olympus. The Olympus E M5 is equipped with a new Live MOS-sensor with 16,1 megapixel resolution, combined with the fast TruePic VI image processor the camera delivers outstanding results, even in low-light circumstances. The ultra-fast FAST AF autofocus system, first seen in the Olympus PEN E-P3, has also been integrated into the E-M5. Experienced camera users will not only appreciate the advances in camera speed on the Olympus OM-D, they will also enjoy the first 5-axis image stabilization for blur-free photos and videos.

Olympus E-M5
The Olympus E-M5 Micro Four Thirds camera guarantees razor sharp and unmoved photos over and over again. The new Olympus OM-D E-M5 is a camera to rely on, even in demanding conditions. The Olympus E-M5 makes extensive use of shields and has a tough dust- / splash proof construction. To facilitate use of interchangeable lenses, Olympus has developed the SSWF (Supersonic Wave Filter). Installed in front of the image sensor, it is activated as the Olympus E-M5 is switched on to remove any dust attached to the image sensor by generating supersonic vibrations.

Olympus E M5 lenses
The Olympus E-M5 is compatible with all Micro Four Thirds (MFT) lenses, which will be supplemented by two new lens options later this year: the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 75mm 1:1.8 and the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 60mm 1:2.8 macro. Both lenses are ideal when combined with the Olympus EM5. The 75mm Zuiko lens is in a high-quality metal design and affords fast aperture settings for portraits and indoor sports shooting, while the dust- and splash proof 60mm lens features 1:1 macro and a closest shooting distance of just 0.19m.
