The new Nikon Coolpix P310 is equipped with a backlit CMOS sensor with 16 megapixels and a bright f/1.8 Nikkor 4.2x optical zoom lens with wide-angle coverage, advanced lens shift vibration reduction. Users can give full expression to their creative side with the manual mode of the Nikon Coolpix P310. The camera incorporates four manual exposure modes: Programmed Auto (P), Shutter-priority (S), Aperture-priority (A) and Manual (M). When capturing complex subjects, the Nikon P310’s new smart AF system means you can shoot in manual focus with a 99-point autofocus system for extreme sharp results. What’s more, there is a customizable function button, allowing the user to set a shortcut to access their favorite setting instantly.

Record video in Full HD with the Nikon P310
To ensure steady shots, Nikon’s advanced lens-shift vibration reduction counters the effect of camera shake and enables the use of shutter speeds that are up to four stops slower. Even when filming in Full HD (1080p) with stereo sound, advanced features such as optical zoom with autofocus are available. Giving even more options, the Nikon Coolpix P310 can capture videos in slow or fast motion using recording speeds of up to 120fps. A built-in HDMI connector lets you connect the Nikon P310 directly to an HDTV, to view your photos and films instantly with family and friends.

In this mode, the Nikon Coolpix P310 combines two shots taken at different exposures during a single shutter release to create an image with wide dynamic range and rich color gradation. The camera let you also create 3D images, which can be played back on 3D-capable TVs and computers. The Nikon Coolpix P310 combines two images taken from different positions; the second shot is taken automatically when the camera detects that you are in the right position.

The Nikon Coolpix P310 comes in two colors, black and white. Included Nikon Coolpix P310 accessories are the EN-EL12 Lithium-Ion battery, View NX2 software, an AC Adapter EH-69P, a strap AN-CP19 an Audio/Video cable and an USB cable. The Nikon Coolpix P310 will be available from March 2012 for an estimated retail price of €330 Euro in Europe. Prices may vary from country to country.
