SonyNew Sony CyberShot H-Series digital cameras : We received confidential information that Sony will announce at least two more CyberShot H-Series cameras, in addition to the already launched Sony W-Series and T-Series. The Sony CyberShot H-Series, the high performance compact camera assortment of Sony, are known for their powerful optical zoom lenses and their innovative image sensors. The CyberShot H-Series include the Sony HX-cameras, produced in Japan, and the Sony H-cameras, manufactured in China with a slightly cheaper product as an end result. The expected Sony CyberShot H-Series include the DSC-HX200V and the DSC-HX20V.

Sony CyberShot DSC-HX200V
Currently the flagship model of the Sony H-Series is the Sony Cybershot HX100V. It is expected that this camera will be replaced soon, by the Sony CyberShot DSC-HX200V. Like it predecessor the camera will feature GPS functionality and various Full HD video options. The lens of the Sony CyberShot HX200V will most likely stay the same, nevertheless the CyberShot HX100V has already been equipped with a 30x optical zoom lens. The resolution will probably be increased from 16.2 megapixel for the HX100V to 18.2 megapixel for the CyberShot HX200V. Besides the new CMOS sensor, the Bionz image processor will also not remain unchanged, making it easier to shoot pictures in low light conditions. Additionally, the Sony CyberShot DSC-HX200V will offer a faster auto focus and a 3" display.

Sony CyberShot DSC-HX20V
The Sony Cybershot HX9V is located directly below the top model of the Sony CyberShot H-Series. This 16.2 megapixel camera with 16x optical zoom will most like be succeeded by the Sony CyberShot DSC-HX20V, equipped with a 18.2 CMOS sensor and an even more powerful zoom lens. Besides the Full HD video mode, the CyberShot HX20V will integrate the ´Dual Shot´ function as a new feature. Dual Shot lets you take 13 megapixel pictures while recording a video. The ´V´ in the model name refers to the GPS functionality.
