 Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone : Next month the annual MWC (Mobile World Congress) will start again in Barcelona, all Mobile Imaging manufacturers will display their new innovations to the industry and consumers alike. A few days before the show beings, the new products will be announced. It seems that Samsung will also launch a new powerful, high-end Galaxy smartphone. The hugely successful Samsung Galaxy S2 seems to be succeeded by the Samsung Galaxy S3 next month. Samsung will once again compete with Apple. The two giants have met each other already several times in court last year, and it looks like the battle continues unabated on the show floor.

Samsung Galaxy S3
Most likely the Samsung Galaxy S3 will run on the newest platform from Google; Android Ice Cream Sandwich, combined with the TouchWiz 5.0 user interface from Samsung. To fully benefit from the Android operating system, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be equipped with a new processor. The predecessor, the Galaxy S2 was already a very fast smartphone with a 1.2Ghz Dual Core processor, making multitasking an easy chore. The Samsung Galaxy S3 seems to integrate an even faster processor, there is even talk of a 1.5Ghz Quad Core processor and 2GB RAM memory.

The 8 megapixel digital camera feature on the Galaxy S2 works quickly and smoothly, the photos look just fine. But now that the Samsung Galaxy SIII will boost an even better processor, great opportunities arise for the camera function. The Samsung Galaxy S3 will most likely feature a 12 megapixel camera, in itself not very unique. But if it really integrates a 1/2.3" sensor -as it is spoken on the Internet- it will become a whole different story. Such a large type of sensor would produce unparalleled picture quality! The Samsung Galaxy S3 seems to offer 32GB of storage capacity, in addition you can expand your memory capacity through a microSD card.
Samsung Galaxy S3 FOLED screen
Likely, the new Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone will offer a 4.6" screen with a resolution of 1280x720. The type of screen is not entirely sure yet. It might be a high resolution Super AMOLED Plus display, but it can also be an entirely new kind of display. Last year, Samsung already mentioned they will use FOLED technology for its new Samsung smartphones line-up. FOLED is an OLED display technology, it uses less power and offers better performance. Another cool feature; FOLED is flexible! Will the Samsung Galaxy S3 be the first phone to integrate such a display?

It is expected that the first Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphones will hit the shelves in April. It is not yet known where the Galaxy S3 will be available first, but we'll keep you posted! |
