Introduced at this years CES Show, the Panasonic DMC-SZ7 camera offers style and compactness whilst also boasting a high-quality 10x optical zoom lens with Full HD Video recording. This new Panasonic hybrid camera the perfect companion for day trips, business and leisure. The 14.1 Megapixel MOS sensor integrated in the Panasonic Lumix SZ7 realizes high speed signal output & high sensitivity image recording to make many advanced camera features possible.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ7 The S/N ratio of MOS sensor and the Intelligent Noise Reduction system in the Venus Engine image processor makes both photo and video recording in any light condition possible, with great photographic results. The high speed digital signal output technology lets the Panasonic DMC-SZ7 camera shoot 10fps in 14 Megapixel full resolution with mechanical shutter and 5fps with continuous autofocus. It also enables the Panasonic Lumix camera to record full HD 50i smooth video clips. The frame rate, autofocus setting and the recording resolution can be easily selected according to the movement of the subject. The Panasonic Lumix SZ7 boasts approx.0.1 sec Light Speed autofocus that helps to capture the most fleeting photo opportunities together with a fast start-up.

The new Leica DC Vario Elmar lens system is even more versatile as it is a 25mm wide-angle lens (25-250mm). A mere 21mm in depth, including the lens barrel (18.6mm excluding the lens barrel), it’s amazing that this new addition can house such a large zoom range. This is made possible by the adoption of an very thin lens for its new structure optical system, making the lens unit’s overall length short to fit in the slim camera body despite its versatile zoom range from ultra wide to telephoto. The Leica lens unit of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ7 comprises of 9 elements in 7 groups including 4 aspherical lenses with 6 aspherical surfaces.
Full-HD Video Recording with the Panasonic SZ7 The new Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ7 digital camera is capable of recording Full HD 1920x1080 50i movies in AVCHD (MPEG-4 / H.264) format. The built-in stereo microphone comes with zoom noise reduction, and the 'Wind Cut' function blocks out most of the noise from background wind. The AVCHD format excels in the compatibility with Audio/Video equipment like HD-TVs or Blu-ray Disc players. A dedicated movie record button is located on the top of the camera. User can start recording videos while shooting photos without having to make any extra camera settings. Alternately, users can choose MP4 at 25p for video recording, which has higher compatibility with Personal Computers.
Share your videos on YouTube Photographs and videos recorded in AVCHD format on SD memory cards are easy to view on a Panasonic VIERA HDTV by simply inserting the memory card into the VIERA Image Viewer on Panasonic VIERA TV or DIGA Blu-ray Disc Player or by using mini HDMI cable to playback your contents.
