 CES 2012 - Panasonic Lumix DMC-S2 budget camera : At the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Panasonic unveiled its new Lumix digital camera line-up including the Panasonic Lumix DMC-S2 digital compact camera. This affordable Panasonic camera features 14.1 Megapixels and a 28mm wide-angle 4x optical zoom lens (28-12mm on a 35mm camera) for versatility and ease of image composition. With Panasonic Intelligent Resolution technology its even possible to extend the zoom range up to a maximum of 8x Intelligent Zoom. A powerful image processor (Venus Engine) is incorporated at the heart of the Panasonic DMC-S2 digital camera to support the fast response and to high picture quality. On this camera only essential functions are available, but which does not mean the performance of the Panasonic S2 is not high.

With the new Panasonic Lumix S2 budget camera you can record 720p HD video (1280x720 pixels) with ease. You can enjoy high quality playback that perfectly fits a HD-TV for full-screen viewing together with HD pictures taken in 16:9 aspects. In addition, Lumix Image Uploader proposes easy way of communication by uploading pictures or movies to social media websites like; Facebook or YouTube to show your content with friends or family without needing software for an Personal Computer.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-S2 camera is equipped with an 2.7-inch TFT LCD display (230.000 dots). The 28mm wide angle lens is perfect for shooting group portrait, subjects indoor or landscapes.
