 CES 2012 News - Olympus VG-170 digital camera : At the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Olympus announced a new digital camera with the strongest build-in flash even seen in a compact camera. The Olympus VG-170 features Megapixels, a 5x wide optical zoom lens, 3-inch LCD display and a host of automatic functions and creative photo effects. With its slim, stylish camera body and retro design, the Olympus VG 170 could be mistaken for a high-end camera, but there’s nothing high-end about the price. Plenty of digital compact cameras promise to make your world brighter, but only the Olympus VG-170 has the best flash to back up that claim.

The built-in flash on the new Olympus VG-170 digital camera has nearly twice the range of a regular camera, which means it can light up faces and subjects up to 15 meters away. In Long Flash Mode, this camera automatically adjust ISO sensitivity to make sure your camera is set up just right for low light. A powerful flash can make a big difference to the quality of your photographs - in low light, it’s often the difference between getting the picture you want and getting no shot at all. The flash on the Olympus VG170 camera is massive, especially for an budget camera. It’s roughly has twice the range then its nearest rival.

The Olympus VG-170 camera is equipped with a 5x wide optical zoom lens (26-130mm) that gives you the flexibility you need in a variety of everyday situations. For creative photographers, there’s a choice of nine Magic Filters that work at the touch of a button. And if you like sharing your pictures online with family and friends, that’s just as easy as everything else on the Olympus VG-170. Thanks to wireless Eye-Fi card support, it’s also cable-free.
