 CES 2012 - Olympus SZ-14 digital camera : At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Olympus has announced a new addition to its SZ Super Zoom series of digital cameras. Despite its compact and attractive design, the Olympus SZ-14 camera is packed with outstanding Olympus technology that delivers brilliant photo quality. With the combination of a 14 Megapixel image sensor and a TruePic III+ image processor, the Olympus SZ-14 guarantees excellent pictures with a great color reproduction and low noise. The Olympus SZ-14 camera features a powerful optical zoom lens and Multi-motion Movie Image Stabilization ensures 720p HD films couldn’t be better defined. The new addition to Olympus Traveller camera serie will be available from mid-January 2012.

The Olympus SZ-14 offers an effective 25-600mm lens with 20x optical zoom. With the new Olympus SZ-14 compact camera you get the chance to zoom right in to shoot close-up photos without disturbing your subject. The powerful lens of the Olympus SZ-14 is also ideal for defocusing the background to create professional looking photos with an undistorted foreground subject and intentional background blur. The Olympus SZ-14 camera also features a new Telephoto Macro function to make detail rich macro pictures from just 30cm away.
HD video on the Olympus SZ-14
The Olympus SZ-14 delivers HD movies that are vivid and crisp, even when you’re filming moving subjects while walking yourself, for example in the forest with family and friends. The Olympus SZ 14 camera is capable of doing so thanks to Multi-motion Movie Image Stabilization, which reduces the blur that occurs automatically when people make moving videos, because they have to film spontaneously and don’t have time to set up a tripod. Even tracking shots turn out sharp and blur-free, as do videos you make while you’re moving yourself.
Olympus SZ 14 photo filters
The Olympus SZ-14 camera provides a range of Magic Filters to add an extra creative feeling to your photos and HD movies. The Olympus SZ14 comes equipped with 11 photo filters, it’s one of the first Olympus camera to feature the advanced Fragmented filter. When you apply Fragmented to a photo of landscape or people, the result is a collage of tiles that look as if the original picture had been cut up and reassembled. The Fragmented filter gives the shot a lively new look and feel with a 3D texture.

With the 14 megapixel Olympus SZ-14 you can enjoy your high resolution photos on the large 3-inch LCD display and share them wirelessly on a website or personal computer via Eye-Fi Card - or in all the glory of High Definition via HDMI on a big-screen HD TV. The Olympus SZ-14 also comes with photo software, making it easy to browse, organize and view your images by person, location or event. Olympus SZ-14 price & availability
The Olympus SZ-14 comes in three trendy colors; silver, black and red. The Olympus SZ-14 is available from mid-January 2012 for a suggested retail price of €230 Euro in Europe and £199.99 GBP in United Kingdom (prices may vary from country to country).
