 Olympus E-P3 test photos : The Olympus E-P3 is a fine camera to shoot with, especially due to the fast autofocus and the OLED touch display. The advanced photographer might miss the ISO and White balance buttons at first, as you have to go to the menu for those. However, this can be avoided by using the function buttons, which can be personalized. Further, the PEN cameras are known for their creative Art filters, and the E-P3 has 10 of them, which can be used in photo as well as video mode. Additionally, the camera is equipped with built-in image stabilization via sensor-shift, so that no matter which lens you use, unintended camera movement is always compensated.

Olympus E-P3 panorama photos
The Olympus E-P3 also has a panorama function. You can move most cameras (think of Sony and Samsung) from left to right, and three photos are then stitched automatically. This generally gives a nice result, without visible seams. However, this is different in the Olympus PEN E-P3. You have to take three separate photos and then you have to stitch them with the software that comes included. This is a bit cumbersome, moreover, the result is not as good, as you can clearly see where the photos have been stitched.

The Olympus E-P3 comes with a 14-42mm kit lens. This compact zoom lens offers a 3x zoom and a very fast high-speed contrast-AF. Nowadays the Olympus Zuiko lens assortment has a wide range of lenses, so that there is a suitable lens available for every photo situation. Think of wide-angle, telezoom and portrait lenses.
