Powered by the Canon camera, this GPS receiver provides the same weatherproof resistance as the Canon EOS-1D X, even at the connector. With an electronic compass on-board, the Canon GP-E1 will log movement - latitude, longitude, elevation, and the Universal Time Code - and allow viewing of camera movement on a Personal Computer after shooting. The Canon EOS 1D X GPS receiver will also record camera direction when shooting, even when shooting vertically.
