SamsungSamsung mobile charging stations at Washington Airport : Samsung Mobile announced the installation of 20 mobile phone charging stations in all of the passenger terminals at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Washington Airport is the first airport to install the redesigned mobile phone charging stations for travellers to conveniently charge their mobile phones, notebooks and other personal electronics free of charge. JCDecaux, the biggest out-of-home advertising company, manages the advertising concession at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and partnered with Samsung to implement the redesigned mobile phone charging stations.

Additionally, there are also more than 40 mobile phone charging stations from Samsung at Washington Dulles International Airport. "Samsung Mobile is excited to bring 20 new mobile phone charging stations to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport,” said Dale Sohn, president of Samsung Mobile. “Travellers rely on their mobile phones and other devices everyday to stay connected to work and their family or friends. The redesigned mobile phone charging stations offer travelers a variety of new features to ensure they stay connected on-the-road.", added Sohn.

The new Samsung Mobile phone charging stations include a total of six electrical outlets compatible for U.S. voltage (i.e., 120 volts), two USB charging outlets, four micro USB mobile phone charging plugs and a touchscreen display that provides travellers with informational content including news, weather and flight status information. The display of the mobile charging stations also features a “What’s New” tab for users to learn more about Samsung Mobile’s latest products.

The mobile phone charging stations from Samsung are also equipped with a small shelf to hold travellers mobile phones and other electronic devices. Samsung Mobile has now installed more than 421 charging stations in 12 of the nation’s busiest Airports that are accessible to more than 400 million passengers. Samsung Mobile has also installed 83 charging stations at 20 of the nation’s largest college campuses, along with six mobile phone charging stations at The Las Vegas Convention Center and five mobile charging stations at The Mall of America in Minneapolis, MN.
