ToshibaToshiba Thrive Android Tablet : Toshiba America confirmed details around the upcoming launch of the Toshiba Thrive Tablet, its first Android Tablet. Previously introduced as the “Toshiba Tablet,” the Toshiba Thrive Tablet is set to deliver a more complete Android Tablet experience by offering to consumers a tablet designed to deliver more performance, features and connectivity options than other Android Tablets. Powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 2 and Google Android 3.1, Honeycomb, the Toshiba Android Tablet offers a convenient new way to connect, browse and enjoy videos, movies, games, photos, books and more. The Toshiba Android Tablet carries a street price of $430 USD.

Toshiba Thrive Android Tablet
The new Toshiba Android Tablet has a 10.1-inch high-resolution (1280x800) multi-touch LED backlit widescreen display for a more complete web experience with fast browsing. The Toshiba Thrive Android Tablet is equipped with a pair of digital cameras, including a 2 megapixel front-facing webcam and 5 Megapixel rear-facing digital camera. Stereo speakers tuned with sound enhancement technologies from Toshiba and SRS Labs deliver more natural sound and enhanced clarity for entertainment and video chatting.

A comfortable virtual keyboard with Swype technology makes typing on the Toshiba Android Tablet easy, while a full suite of sensors, including a Gyroscope and Accelerometer, enable fast and smooth 360-degree screen rotation and control. Designed for easy connectivity and continuity with other mobile devices, the Toshiba Thrive Tablet features a robust collection of familiar, full-size ports, including USB 2.0, HDMI and an SD memory card slot.
