Olympus SP-610UZ review
The SP-610UZ is positioned between the SP-600UZ and the SP-800UZ, within Olympus’ current SP-series assortment. The most important differences between these traveler cameras are found in the zoom range. The SP-600UZ is characterized by a 15x zoom, while the SP-800UZ has a 30x zoom. The Olympus SP-610UZ is between the two with its 22x zoom lens. Impressive photos can be taken with this lens, from 28mm wide-angle to 616mm super-tele.

Olympus is known for its filter programs. The Olympus SP-610UZ has 8 magic filters, including the new “watercolor” and “sparkle” filters. An additional bonus is that most filters can also be used while shooting video. The Olympus SP-610UZ also has a panorama photo function, for spectacular wide image shots. New for the SP-series is the 3D photo function and compatibility with Eye-Fi memory cards (for an automatic, wireless data transfer to a PC or website).
