Nokia Oro Smartphone : Nokia introduces in selected markets the Nokia Oro Smartphone. The Nokia Oro Smartphone incorporates 18-carat gold plating, a sapphire crystal and leather from one of Scotland’s finest Caledonian herds. Inside, it reaches the same high grade as Nokia’s other recent smartphones. It’s Symbian-based, with the latest Symbian Anna update. The Nokia Oro supports pentaband radio connectivity, up-to HSDPA 3G and Wi-Fi. The Nokia Oro is equipped with a 3.5-inch AMOLED display, an 8 megapixel digital camera with 720p video recording. Functionally, it’s not so different from other recent Smartphones from Nokia. But that’s quite a rarity in the “premium Smartphone” business.

Nokia Oro
The Nokia Oro is a gold plated Smartphone that’s clearly intended for someone who doesn’t want their mobile phone to look the same as other people’s. The main markets for the Nokia Oro Smartphone are the Middle East and Russia, where they have been best-sellers for some time. Nokia’s General Manager for Russia, Gabriel Speratti, told us that, “premium Smartphones like Nokia Oro have always been best sellers in Russia. We have a large number of users who are looking for products with a build quality and superior materials that attest to their success and social standing. In some areas, possession of such premium products is the passport to being taken seriously.”

Nokia Oro Smartphone design
The Nokia Oro Smartphone is an exceptional combination of delicate craftsmanship and precision engineering. The Nokia Oro is built with an unmistakable passion for detail. The Nokia Oro mobile phone features exclusive materials sourced from the world’s finest suppliers and applied with meticulous care. Every element of the Nokia Oro Smartphone has been thoughtfully considered to create a beautiful product that will live and evolve with you each day.

Nokia Oro luxury handset
The epitome of luxury, gold never loses its cachet. On the Nokia Oro, 18 carat gold plating is used to stunning effect, enveloping the handset’s outer edge and high-lighting the lens for a sleek and subtle style. The accompanying Nokia J Bluetooth headset is also gold plated. To achieve Nokia Oro’s smooth, flawless finish, we apply the gold using an innovative coating technique that forms around the phone’s surface molecule by molecule for an immaculate result.

Nokia Oro phone cover
Timeless and tactile, leather brings natural character to the Nokia Oro Smartphone. The Nokia Oro battery cover is encased by hand in quality Scottish leather for a sublime and luxurious feel. Sourced from the finest North European cattle breeds, the leather retains the individual characteristics of natural hide. These unique details are a mark of quality, and over time will develop into a soft patina, enhancing the overall beauty of the Nokia Smartphone. Leather can easily be damaged and should be treated with care. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures, light and humidity, and avoid contact with water and oil.

Nokia Oro mobile phone with sapphire crystal
For the home key, the new Nokia Oro Smartphone boasts a single sapphire crystal. Famed for its unique combination of elegance and endurance, it ensures that every function is executed with style. With a durability second only to diamonds, sapphire crystals are highly resistant to scratches, chips and cracks. As a result, your Nokia Oro’s home key will retain its exquisite beauty far into the future. The Nokia Oro is a true premium design Smartphone.

Nokia Oro price
The new Nokia Oro Smartphone will start selling in selected countries across the Europe, Eastern Europe, China and the Middle East in Q3 2011. Before local taxes and operator subsidies (neither of which you’re likely to be too concerned about if you’re a customer for the Nokia Oro cell phone), it will cost upwards of 800 Euro.
