CanonCanon Legria FS46 camcorder : Canon announces the launch of the new Legria FS400 series - Canon’s smallest ever Standard Definition (SD) camcorders, combining stylish, pocket-sized design with their renowned image quality. Succeeding the FS300 series, the new Canon Legria FS46 and Legria FS406 offer a host of advanced imaging features in an easy to operate format to aid even the most inexperienced users to capture effortlessly and share those special memories. The Canon Legria FS400 camcorder series offers a number of advanced imaging features including a DIGIC DV II processor, a genuine Canon Video Lens and powerful magnification with a 41x Advanced Zoom. These core technologies allow users to get closer to their subject without compromising on quality at an affordable price point.

In order to reduce the effects of camera shake, especially at the wide end of the 41x Advanced Zoom, the Dynamic Image Stabilizer works extremely effectively, particularly if you’re trying to capture a movie whilst on the move. Night Scene has also been added to the shooting modes giving you a total of 12 different scene options. The new Night mode option is perfect capturing scenes between twilight and total darkness by suppressing flaring in localized areas of brightness, such as street lights.

Furthermore, the new Canon FS46 and FS406 enables you to shoot for longer with over three and a half hours of consecutive recording when the battery is full, or be ready to shoot the scenes you want in minutes with Quick Charge giving you approximately 60 minutes of shooting after just 20 minutes on charge.

For greater convenience and more flexibility the Canon Legria FS46 has 8GB of Flash Memory built into the camera allowing you to record over five hours of movies without a card or record to SDXC cards for extended storage capacity. The Canon Legria FS406 also enables you to record to Eye-Fi cards for easy sharing. Eye-Fi cards support easy, Wi-Fi uploads to video sharing websites. The Canon Legria FS400 series is available from March 2011.
