LG Optimus GT540 review at LetsGoMobile : At the start of 2009, HTC brought the T-Mobile G1 onto the market, which was our first experience with the Google Android operating system. It took a little getting used to, but we quickly saw this platform’s potential. Other manufacturers followed quickly with different high-end mobile phones. LG is now introducing a model for the other end of the market: a prepaid package for a favorable price. Prepaid and Android do not seem the most logical combination, partly due to the use of data. Perhaps we are heading in a new direction.• Read the full LG Optimus review at LetsGoMobile.

LG Optimus reviews - Menu
LetsGoMobile adds: "The LG Optimus Android has five different start screens. These can be filled with Widgets, quick links and folders. There are no special LG Widgets to be found here or anything like that either. There are a few keys placed under the screen, for settings, among others. These keys vary per function. You can change the background of the main screen and choose from inbox or compose in the e-mail application. These keys make for easy operation, so that you always have all relevant functions in the same place."

Review LG Optimus - Digital camera
LetsGoMobile continues: "While taking a photo, you can also select the video mode in order to shoot video clips with a maximum resolution of 640x480 pixels. Several settings are found around the screen, such as brightness, zoom, resolution, and shooting distance. For more settings, you have to go to a separate menu. The photos that we shot are nice, but not really of high quality. Noise is quickly visible and the colors are not always clear and strong (especially when there is a lot of light). The dynamic range is limited and that is immediately visible in high-contrast situations. As a camera, the LG GT540 is a beginner model."

LG Optimus review
The LG GT540 is an elaborate smartphone for an attractive price. With a special Social Network Manager, you can keep everything and everyone up to date. The LG Optimus GT540 also has a 3.0 megapixel digital camera, a video-editor, GPS antenna, a 3G-internet connection and Wi-Fi.
