CanonCanon PowerShot SX130 IS digital camera review : The Canon PowerShot SX130 IS camera follows up the SX120 IS megazoom camera. It is a logical successor and lays in the trend of the Canon PowerShot megazoom cameras. The new Canon SX130IS is not very surprising; it is introduced with improved functions. The effective image resolution has increased to 12 Megapixels and the zoom range has also increased with 12x and wider angle (28mm instead of 36mm in the SX120 IS). The Canon PowerShot SX130 IS’ body has had a bit of restyling, but still really resembles its predecessor.

Review Canon PowerShot SX130 IS - Camera operation
The Canon PowerShot SX130 IS megazoom camera is a camera for a large target group. The camera has a low threshold as it can be controlled completely automatically with just a couple of buttons. Canon has ensured that the ‘lazy’ photographer can completely relax and take good photos with the least amount of effort. Think of a very advanced face detection system that is not only able to recognize faces, but is also linked to the lighting. The Canon SX130 IS will adjust the metering, such as white balance and ISO, for an optimal result.

Review Canon PowerShot SX130 IS megazoom camera
The Canon PowerShot SX130 IS megazoom camera is not a camera that you would take with you in your back pocket, in terms of its dimensions, and as it weighs more than 300 grams, it is not exactly lightweight. The Canon SX130IS is a work-camera. This Canon PowerShot camera is not only completely automatic, but it can also be controlled manually. Just put a fitting bag around it, and this camera is good for all-round photography. We tested out the Canon PowerShot SX130 IS for a short time in practice, and extensive technical tests were performed in the DIWA Lab.
