Canon120 Megapixel Canon Panorama camera : Since its foundation, Canon has striven to create new value for society in the form of revolutionary products and unique, innovative technologies. Canon is working to realize further advances in a range of technologies, including image-recognition, and image-search technologies, in order to achieve sophisticated synergies between products and deliver new value along with new solutions. One of those impressive concept products is an ultra high resolution panorama camera featuring an impressive 120 million pixel CMOS sensor. Most impressive was the ability to reproduce real-time Full HD video from any designated area of the captured scene. Wow!!

In the New Perspective of Imaging Zone, Canon gave us unique glimpse into the power of image by allowing us to see images in a way we could not have seen before. This zone includes Canon’s most advanced innovations, and shows how they will create new benefits at home and in the workplace. Although the commercial use for innovations demonstrated in this area has not yet been determined we were ready to set and go. Especially the 120 Megapixel panorama camera was definitely impressive!

This high resolution camera embedded a massive 120 million pixel CMOS sensor. It can see details beyond the human eye - the 120 million pixel CMOS sensor is comparable to approx. 130 million human optic nerves. The panorama camera offered a high speed digital output - Standard mode outputs 1.4 frames per second with 2.52Gbps (bit per second) data rate.

The panorama camera features a Full HD 60fps video mode and offered a Full HD 60 frames per second video output of designated area. We could just touch a certain area on the large touchscreen and a Full HD video started from only the particular area of the total image.
