The new Canon IXUS 1000 HS compact camera is not an exception. The Canon IXUS 1000HS camera has a remarkable design and with its trendy metal body and 10x optical zoom, it is quite a nice surprise. Today, the compact mega zoom cameras are popular and seem to be an ideal compromise between advanced photo settings and features, and pocket format dimensions. Of course, the new Canon IXUS 1000HS digital camera is equipped with a built-in optical Image Stabilizer (IS), so that it is possible to shoot in a larger zoom range with little light.

It is remarkable that the Canon IXUS 1000 HS digital camera can capture moving images in Full High Definition (1080p) video quality, and with stereo sound. Thanks to the built-in HDMI interface, displaying the captures images on an HDTV set is possible. For the creative videographer, it is possible to shoot images in Super Slow Motion, with 240 fps, so that action can be slowed down.
Canon IXUS 1000 HS features
The new Canon IXUS 1000HS digital camera is equipped with a 10.0 Megapixel CMOS image sensor. This CMOS sensor is remarkably sensitive and the speed that is required for Super Slow Motion and series recordings are well supported. When a lower resolution of 2.5 Megapixels is enough, it is possible to shoot action shots continuously with a speed of 8.8 frames per second.
