PanasonicPanasonic Lumix DMC-G2 system camera review : When the Panasonic G1 made its entrance at the Photokina 2008 in Cologne, the competitors were standing around the camera in no time. The world’s first system camera based on the Micro Four Thirds System was introduced by Panasonic. When we look back at that period, we can only conclude that the Panasonic G1 was the beginning of the end of the domination of the traditional DSLR cameras. Now it's time for it's successor, the Lumix G2.

Panasonic Lumix G2 review - Camera body
The Panasonic Lumix G2 has almost the same design as that of the G1. A few details have been changed, such as the command dial has been moved, but it is especially in the small, ergonomic adjustments that the differences are shown. We notice that the card slot is no longer placed on the side of the hand grip, but that it has now found a place in the battery compartment. Moreover, the Panasonic G2 now also supports SDXC (48GB - 2TB) flash memory cards, next to the SD/SDHC cards.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2 setting possibilities
If you already have experience with a Panasonic Lumix camera, you will recognize the Panasonic G2’s operation. The Panasonic DMC-G2 is quite an elaborate camera, so it won’t hurt to take the time and get to know it well. The possibilities are endless, but when you want to get started quickly, the Q. menu button can be used. A clear and logical quick-menu appears, and then it is only a question of navigating and selecting. The Panasonic Lumix G2’s user interface runs fast and is fairly intuitive. Especially the touchscreen offers quick access to the different setting possibilities, but it is also possible to execute everything via the buttons.
