Sony Alpha 33 photo gallery : The last couple of years as a camera manufacturer Sony developed itself remarkable. In the early days we could choose out of a series of Cybershot cameras and a handful of Alpha DSLR cameras, but today Sony offers a rather extensive range of camera packed with the latest innovative techniques. It was only recently that Sony introduced its own version of a system camera, the NEX and only a few months later we witness the introduction of a new type of Alpha camera, the Sony Alpha 33. The Sony A33 is an interesting interchangeable lens camera. First there is the Translucent Mirror technology offering new possibilities like continues live preview of action and video clips.

This technique is not really new, but the way Sony integrated this into the Sony Alpha 33 makes it a unique camera. The Sony A33 is compatible with the full range of over 30 A-mount interchangeable lenses. The body is equipped with SteadyShot Inside, a system that provides up to 4 exposure steps of anti-shake correction when shooting handheld. For the action fan the Sony A33 offers specialized features. The sports photographer, but also the family man who takes the snap shots, got plenty of creative freedom to freeze the action.
Sony Alpha 33 viewfinder
Remarkable is the absence of an optical viewfinder with the Sony Alpha 33. The camera is equipped with an electronic viewfinder (EVF), and offers an impressive resolution of 1.15 million pixels. Such a viewfinder is a lovely combination with the Translucent Mirror Technology. Due to the continuous Live View when capturing video and photo, the usability of the EVF improves significantly.
Sony Alpha 33 camera features
Other interesting changes or improved and new features are the new Exmor APS HD CMOS-sensor with 14.2 million pixels and Quick-AF Full HD video. Thanks to the Translucent Mirror Technology AVCHD 1080i video shooting with smooth, precise phase detection AF tracking of moving subjects, is enabled. In order to judge the captured images and video clips the Sony Alpha 33 offers a bright 3-inch 16:9 tilting and swiveling display.
Sony Alpha 33 test photos
The Sony A33 test photos are made with a pre-production camera which means that this Sony Alpha digital camera is not equal to the model that the consumer can expect to purchase. Soon, our DIWA camera test lab will review the Sony A33 camera under laboratory circumstances from a technical viewpoint.
