SonySony A290 digital SLR camera : Just after the global launch of the new Sony NEX cameras rumors float around talking about a new entry-level Sony Alpha DSLR camera. Although the following information is not official yet, product photos and detailed specifications are accurate enough to expect the information to be true. The new Sony Alpha 290 is likely to be introduced in the following weeks and seems to be a follow-up of the Alpha A230 camera. The Sony DSLR-A290 supposes to have an APS-C 14 Megapixels CCD image sensor on board with a fast BIONZ image processor. For enhanced detail reproduction, Sony’s BIONZ Image Processing Engine infuses a sense of vibrant realism in every shot taken by an Alpha DSLR.

Sony A290 powered by BIONZ image processor
Since the integration of the advanced BIONZ image processor engine in the Alpha series a totally new way of enjoying photography has begun. High-quality photos, with advanced technology that is the goal of the Sony engineers, also for the entry level photographers. The Sony Alpha 290 body features SteadyShot Inside technology. Because of it, all compatible telephoto, wide-angle, standard and macro lenses are automatically image-stabilized. This also allows up to 4 stops of latitude in exposure, which support hand-held shooting at longer shutter speeds than would otherwise be possible. In the end, you have more opportunities to shoot in natural lighting without a tripod or a flash.
