Read NYTimes on iPad with New York Times App : The NYTimes announced the release of The New York Times Editors’ Choice app, offering a selection of the latest news, business and technology news, opinion and features chosen by Times editors that can be downloaded automatically to iPad. The iPad App delivers two pages of content with the top eight to ten articles in latest news, business, technology, opinion and feature sections from NYT with accompanying videos and photo slideshows. “This New York Times App provides a great opportunity for advertisers to use the latest digital technologies to reach The New York Times’s affluent and loyal readers.” The New York Times Editors’ Choice app is available for download at the iPad App Store.

The New York Times Editors’ Choice app takes advantage of the device’s large screen display and video and slideshow capabilities. The app is free and advertising supported. The Times is also planning a full, paid app for iPad as part of its overall paid strategy. “Times readers will find the iPad to be an exceptionally useful and entertaining way to closely follow what is happening around them locally, nationally and internationally,” said Yasmin Namini, senior vice president, marketing and circulation, The New York Times Media Group, and general manager, reader applications.
