NTT Docomo waterproof solar phone : We have already seen Cell phones with solar technology before, but NTT Docomo has gone a step further. During the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, we saw the NTT Solar Hybrid, a waterproof phone that runs on solar energy. Well isn’t that handy when you want to sail around the world in the sun on your boat. Solar-powered mobile devices do not seem to be very popular among the masses. That is not so strange, as a couple of days visit to the MWC 2010 in Spain did not deliver much sunshine. You have to be able to feed such a product with sunlight. And fun in the sun was not exactly present in Barcelona.

Hybrid Solar phone
There is of course a more serious side to these products. The NTT Solar phone is a mobile handset with environmentally conscious features. Loading up for about 8 minutes under the sun gives you about 1 minute of talk-time. Recharging your mobile phone absolutely without costs from a source that pretty much inexhaustibly spreads its energy around into the atmosphere.

NTT Docomo Hybrid Solar phone
The new NTT Docomo Hybrid Solar phone has only been available in Japan since last September. Coming back to the fact that there may or may not be sun available due to bad weather, the NTT Docomo Hybrid Solar phone can also be charged in the electricity socket.

Solar phone specifications
It is also possible to take high resolution digital photos with the NTT Docomo Solar Hybrid phone. And compared to the current trend of 5 Megapixels, it’s just a bit more resolution, which is notable.

Waterproof solar phone
The waterproof features of this NTT phone are in accordance with IPX5/IPX7 certification, in other words, you can easily use the Solar phone in the bath, in the rain or other wet circumstances without having to worry about possible water damage! |
