MotorolaMotorola Zeppelin mobile phone : Brazil... the land of beautiful women and sensational soccer, and at the same time it is the country where the first tangible evidence of the existence of the Motorola Zeppelin has surfaced. The Motorola Zeppelin is a new Android smartphone that is expected to be officially introduced shortly. We think it to be very likely that the Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona will be used for this introduction. We have a hunch that with all the new Motorola phones, it will be really busy at the Motorola stand. The first rumors about the Motorola Zeppelin smartphone seem to suggest an Android 1.5, while we had at first expected it to be an Android version 2.

It could very well be that this Motorola pre-production smartphone will be running on Android 2.0 when the Motorola Zeppelin becomes available. In terms of appearance, the Motorola Zeppelin smartphone is very similar to the new BackFlip, only without the physical keyboard, which we ran into at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. We estimate that the Zeppelin Android phone will be made for a lower segment.

According to recent information that seems to be coming directly from a Motorola employee, the Motorola Zeppelin will already be made available on the Brazilian market in March. It is not clear if or when the Motorola Zeppelin will be available in Europe or the United States, but that will undoubtedly be made clear shortly. Other characteristics of the Motorola Zeppelin smartphone will be: a 3.2-inch display, a 5 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth, GPS and a 3G connection.
