MWCMobile World Congress 2010 : The first quarter of the year is an important time for the mobile phone industry. It's the time for manufactures to open up about the strategies that will be applied to launch new products into the market. It is going to be an important year for manufacturers. The manufacturer's automatic gain of market share no longer depends on the mobile phone or technology; after all, this technology is widely accessible by now. It are in fact the services and support, through which the consumer arranges, maintains and searches for his contacts within his personal social network, that will determine, or at least become increasingly vital, how successful the manufacturer will be.

Mobile World Congress 2010

New smartphone apps at the Mobile World Congress 2010
The smartphone plays an important role, and we expect that it will be the Android smartphone in particular that will increase hugely in popularity. The Android market is currently developing, and has potential for a boisterous growth, however, other strong players in the market, such as Samsung, are coveting for a share in the Apps world. Not only do Samsung Apps focus on mobile telephony, but also on a wider range of products. Samsung Apps for television, smart phones and other electronic equipment, are currently being developed!

Google Android and Microsoft Mobile 7 OS
The Mobile World Congress is expected to show that Android OS will attract a lot of attention, unless Microsoft brings out the heavy artillery, introduces its Windows Mobile Phone 7 OS, and at the same time comes with the Microsoft Zune smartphone. However, whether this will happen during the MWC 2010, remains to be seen. For now, the majority of the manufacturers seems to have focused on Android, and Windows Mobile 7 is not expected to appear before the third quarter of 2010.

Mobile World Congress : The future of mobile telephony
Touch screen phones were the hit of 2009. This year, smartphones and Apps will undoubtedly run off with the honors. What is the future of mobile telephony? Will the platform develop so fast that everything we do now on electronic equipment in our environment, will eventually be carried out by a future phone? It slowly starts to look like that. Imagine a 3D phone, serving as main controller within the 3D experience that we will all get to enjoy in the coming years ...

Google navigation services at the MWC 2010
The Mobile World Congress will also be the show floor for many innovations, new services and supports, mobile navigation, as well as a variety of free Google applications, such as Google Navigation, a cardinal sin according to TomTom and Garmin. As Google is now also about to bring free navigation services, just like Nokia, it's up to TomTom to innovate at great speed, in order to keep up its appearance and to redefine the game. However, it is not only this market Google is undermining; thanks to Android OS, Google already offers many services which were until recently only available through providers. And a little bird has told us that Google has only just begun with the strategy they have in mind for the mobile phone market.

Mobile World Congress 2010 show report
The MWC show in Barcelona will once again be a buzz. In addition to the big brands, there will also be many small and often very innovative companies that will try to attract our attention. We will initially target the new generation of mobile phones, and additionally focus on the variety of useful accessories. Naturally, the services and supports, Apps, etc. will also be discussed. It looks like it's going to be a great show yet again. Updates will be published on LetsGoDigital as well as on LetsGoMobile, so keep an eye on both sites!
