Prototype Samsung 3D camera : Just when you think that during the CES, you have made the impossible, possible, and you have simply not missed a thing concerning digital imaging; it turns out a Samsung novelty has slipped through the mazes. The many 3D showcases of various manufacturers, displayed a huge amount of applications, with the main focus naturally on the image. Interestingly, the number of 3D cameras is in fact just 1, namely the Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W1. Due to the lack of broad support from the electronics industry, the Fujifilm 3D camera has led a modest and quiet life. However, it seems a second 3D camera will soon be announced; a Samsung 3D camera.

Samsung 3D camera for 3D photography and film
In the Samsung booth, a prototype Samsung 3D camera was demonstrated, which allows the consumer to produce his or her personal 3D content. The Samsung 3D digital camera is equipped with two lenses and an image resolution of 12 Megapixels. According to Samsung, the growing popularity of 3D, in particular the 3D games and 3D movies, means the demand for shooting or filming in 3D will equally increase.

Prototype Samsung 3D camera
We expect the PMA 2010 to be too early for an official Samsung 3D camera release. We'd sooner expect the summer, or in any case; before and around the Photokina 2010 to hear about its introduction. 3D is without a doubt the biggest hit of 2010, a drive for numerous product innovations, a push for content providers and distributors, or in short: a major push for the entire electronics industry! |
