LG ElectronicsLG Apollo smartphone on arrival! : In the gossip circles the tables seem to have been turned somewhat. The end of 2009 proved to produce a lot of attention for Google Android and its rare manufacturer-fans, but now we are seeing more sources surfacing with the necessary information about Windows Mobile 7. There is talk of a Windows Phone 7 Business Edition OS, especially made for OEM phones with their own GUI as well. One of the first Windows cell phones that are named is the LG Apollo, which is probably the same model that we named as the possible LG Windows Mobile 7 phone for the third quarter of 2010. The MWC 2010 in Barcelona will surely provide more information about this.

In the meantime, we will get ready for an LG Apollo Windows Mobile 7 smartphone that is expected to be introduced in the third quarter of 2010. In terms of hardware, the LG Apollo Windows Mobile 7 smartphone is a very interesting high-end phone. With HSDPA and EV-DO support and a 1.3Ghz Qualcomm QSD8650 processor, this LG smartphone is very accomplished. Additionally, the LG Apollo is equipped with a large format 3.8-inch AMOLED WXGA display. The digital camera will deliver 10 Megapixels with 720p HD video recording.

The first information released about this new LG Apollo phone seems to be very far-fetched. We must not forget that we are after all looking into the crystal ball to 9 months from now. By that time there will be faster platforms with Full HD support and 20 Megapixels resolution available for the design of new cell phones. The LG Apollo could very well be one of the first smartphones of a new generation.
