SamsungSamsung Apps available via HDTV application store : During the Samsung press conference on the first press day in Las Vegas during the CES 2010 show it became clear that Samsung has big plans for content and 'open source' cooperation. One of those projects is Samsung Apps, with which consumers that have a Samsung HDTV, a Blu-ray player or a Home Theater system can connect to the world’s first HDTV application store and download Apps via Internet@TV. As a consequence to these application options, content owners and developers can develop a few Apps that are supported by different devices. The potential is there, and such App developments could mean big changes in the content experience of consumers.

Download Samsung Apps
The Apps can be downloaded while watching TV. The first Apps are offered by Samsung free of charge, and later the so-called premium Apps can be downloading after making a payment. A big difference with, for example, the App that is developed for Apple equipment, is that the size of the screen hardly plays a role.

The development of an App with the possibility of displaying on a 60+- inch will also be a possibility. So many Apps will be developed and released, and with this growing number the consumer experience will, slowly but surely, be changing.

Samsung Apps for mobile phones

Samsung Apps for mobile phones
Under the Apps that are already being developed for Samsung cell phones, are the Apps that will bridge the gap between a Samsun Wi-Fi cell phone and an HDTV. That is how the cell phone will become part of the television and the content that is being displayed on it. The possibilities and ideas will grow the coming period, and it won't be long before a fully-grown platform will arise where everybody will be able to meet each other with solutions.
