Olympus SEMA-1 adapter set : For Olympus, 2009 revolved around the PEN System camera. When the Micro Four Thirds System standard was introduced together by Olympus and Panasonic, it was Panasonic that came up with a Micro Four Thirds camera immediately, and left Olympus behind with their own prototype concept that had to gain attention on the spot. In 2009 came the Olympus P1, and a few months later it was followed by the Olympus PEN P2. This last model was developed further and offers, among other things, the possibility to connect to an optional external microphone. During the CES 2010, we came across the Olympus SEMA-1 (ME-51S + EMA-1) adapter set for the first time.

Olympus adapter set for Olympus PEN P2
The Olympus SEMA-1 (composed of an adapter and microphone) is the adapter set to be used in combination with the Olympus PEN-EP2 to achieve a higher quality sound. The external microphone adapter EMA-1 is connected to the accessory port of the PEN P2, and expected future PEN cameras, and then you can connect an external microphone. The Olympus ME-51S stereo microphone is a nice solution and fits on the mini connection of the EMA-1 adapter. With the use of an extension lead and the clip, you can handily place the microphone exactly where you need it.
Olympus PEN adapter set improves the sound quality of videos
The biggest advantage of the optional Olympus SEMA-1 adapter set is that when you record video clips with the Olympus E-P2, there is little environment noise that causes distortion, such as wind, thus it is clearly diminished. The video recordings thus have a simple path and a better sound quality and of course it is possible to record high quality sound. The Olympus SEMA-1 is available immediately.
