Apple iSlate internet tablet : If there is a product that is the most talked about in 2009, than it's definitely the so-called Apple tablet, which according to the rumor machine, should be coming out on a daily basis. The latest information about this officially non-existent product is that a name is known. The tablet will be called Apple iSlate, and could be coming out soon. The fact that the editor-in-chief of the New York Times was already talking about the so-called Slate tablet in a speech to his staff, and with the discovery that Apple has had the name patented, we will probably be seeing the introduction of the Apple iSlate in a not too distant future.

Apple iSlate tablet equipped with 10" touchscreen display
The latest information that we have about the monitor of the iSlate is that this will be delivered by Foxconn, which is equally the supplier for other Apple hardware (iPhone and iPod). The touchscreen display of the Apple iSlate will have a 10-inch format. In January 2010, Apple will be organizing a press conference in which the iSlate will be officially introduced. It will most likely be at that moment that the rumors about Apple’s cooperation with the big American media, among others, will be clarified.

Impact of the Apple iSlate tablet
We are very curious about the Apple iSlate, and expect that the product will make a big impact in the world of print press. It could be (a part of) the missing link for the traditional media to transform from paper to digital without losing the income from advertizing and subscriptions. Additionally, the iSlate could serve as a central basis within the home network. Think about video streaming, photo display, iTunes content management and many other possibilities. We will be awaiting the coming Apple event...
