NokiaNokia N97 Mini review at LetsGoMobile : With the latest top hit, the Nokia N97, still on the store shelves, the Nokia N97 Mini complements the range. Not all that long ago, the Finnish phone manufacturer Nokia launched the first mobile phone with touchscreen onto the market; the Nokia 5800. After testing it, the Nokia 5800 left us with a positive feeling. With the recent launch of the Nokia N97, the first touchscreen phone from the multimedia N series became a fact. Besides this kind of large all-rounder, a smaller version is now available for the enthusiast.

Nokia N97 Mini review - Mobile phone menu
LetsGoMobile adds: " The menu can be opened via the menu button below the screen. The menu button is not all that beautiful; there are small holes in it, and the lighting shows along the key. The original N97 on the other hand, contains a smooth and shiny key. Also the touchscreen of the Nokia N97 Mini has a simple finishing touch to it, yet when it is activated, you can see the backlight at the bottom. Although not that big a deal, it is still a bit of a shame. The menu consists of twelve icons. Inside the menu, we find the OVI-store and Nokia Maps. The touch screen responds nicely, although sometimes you do have to press firmly. If you press hard, spots will appear on the screen, which makes me suspect the screen is quite fragile."

Nokia N97 Mini test - Digital camera application
LetsGoMobile continues: "The Nokia N97 Mini features an integrated digital camera with a resolution of 5.0 megapixels and a Carl Zeiss lens. The camera application has to be activated using the shortcut on the right side of the Mini Nokia N97 mobile phone, or by selecting the camera application in the menu. It takes a few seconds before you are actually able to take pictures. Once activated, three-quarters of the screen is in use as a viewfinder, while the remaining space is taken up by the icons for the settings. Capturing a picture in itself is carried out fast, although you have to beware that if you press immediately, focus will skip, resulting in blurred images. If you press the shutter button half-way down before taking the actual picture, focus will then be carried out, resulting in a sharp picture."
