SonySony Alpha 3D SLR camera : Sony is bidding high with its innovative 3D technology. At first you might think that Sony is only focusing on 3D TV and peripheral equipment such as Blu-ray players and PlayStation3 multimedia devices. However, when we take a closer look at Sony’s plans, we can expect quite a bit of 3D technology for 2010. What to think about Sony Alpha 3D cameras? Yes indeed, Sony is going to make Alpha DSLR cameras apt for 3D technology! Sony sees the market divided into 3 segments: creative, distribution and display. The Display segment seems pretty transparent, think of Sony 3D television, but also of PlayStation3 and VAIO notebooks.

Connect the Sony 3D camera with the Sony Online Service
Sony also has big plans for distribution. There is talk of a new and very extensive Sony Online Service, which includes practically all equipment that allows for data transfer via a network. Think of the Sony BRAVIA LCD televisions that are linked to the Sony Online Service that can receive content directly. Additionally, there is also the physical distribution of Blu-Ray content and of course the games, not an unimportant part of the Sony concern.

Sony Alpha DSLR camera assortment wants to distinguish itself more
The third and last segment is the creative branch. B2B and its content, such as Sony Music and Sony Pictures, each good for an important creative stamp on the content and the game development tool with which Sony PlayStation made it big, and should stay big. Within this creative segment, Sony also sees a place for digital imaging. The digital imaging business should grow in terms of market shares, which will mostly be determined by the more extensive functionality of the DSLR series. Also the Sony Alpha DSLR camera will distinguish itself more from its competitors.

Sony Alpha 3D camera for the advanced photographer
Sony seems to be focusing especially on the entry-level segment of the Alpha DSLR cameras. This is a logical move, seeing the greater proportion of market shares of both Nikon and Canon in the professional segment. The lower segments seem to be where Sony is looking to find the bigger profits. The sharing of data in the Sony Online Service will also be possible for the Cyber-shot and Alpha DSLR cameras. We could therefore conclude that there is a chance that the next generation Alpha DSLR and Cybershot compact cameras will be equipped with network functions. How the 3D technology will be integrated is not completely clear yet, but what is clear is that the next series Sony Alpha DSLR cameras will support 3D. Sony Alpha 3D, a new step in the direction of 3D DSLR photography?
