SamsungSamsung T9 predictive text input for mobile phones : Nuance Communications, Inc. announced that Samsung has extended its relationship with Nuance to ship T9 and XT9 predictive text input products across Samsung’s global portfolio of mobile phones. Nuance’s T9 and XT9 are the industry’s most widely adopted predictive text technologies that make it faster and easier for consumers to send text messages and emails, and quickly type URLs via any keypad format, including standard and touchscreen 12-key and QWERTY keypads. As a result of this renewed partnership, Samsung will provide innovative predictive text capabilities to a broad range of consumers in all of its markets, as Samsung T9 and XT9 support more than 80 languages.

Samsung is able to feature Nuance’s innovative predictive text capabilities on any of its mobile handsets, including those based on Samsung’s own operating systems and others such as Android, Windows Mobile and Symbian. Today, T9 and XT9 are already featured on some of Samsung’s most popular models around the world to provide the best possible messaging experience. With Samsung T9 text input becomes a standard.

With Nuance’s T9 and XT9, mobile users can take full advantage of their phone’s messaging capabilities, and write text messages and emails more quickly and easily. Users can easily switch between input modes and alternate between numbers, letters, symbols, and languages. XT9 features word correction and automatic word completion, which help reduce common misspellings due to small key sizes on traditional and touchscreen QWERTY keyboards. XT9 also enables users to quickly enter URLs on phones that feature an HTML Web browser.
