HTCHTC Tide smartphone : According to a leak in the HTC organization, we can expect an interesting series of HTC cell phones in the first half of 2010. HTC's marketing department will apparently start using four different market segments, including the social segment, a cell phone segment focused on social networking. The HTC Tide will be such a mobile phone, with a keyboard and touch screen functionality. The supporting software must be completely focused on applications such as Facebook, Twitter, Plurk, etc. Social networking is a strong, growing market and responds to the needs of the modern consumer to always and everywhere be able to be connected to his or her network.

HTC Tide Android phone ideal for social networking
The HTC Tide smartphone will be equipped with Google Android OS. Which version is not clear, but as the Tide is only planned for April 2010, we shall assume that it will be Android 2.1 or a later version. Just like the other HTC cell phones that are planned for 2010, not much is known yet about the HTC Tide. The display is fairly compact with 2.6 inches, and also the 3.2 megapixel camera does not make it appear like a camera planned for the year 2010.

For the time being, the leaked mobile phone specifications make it seem that the HTC Tide will be a beginner’s model social networking phone, a cell phone directed at the masses and most likely offered at a very affordable price. We will have to make do with the named phone aspects for now, and we expect to be able to publish more detailed information about the HTC Tide during or right before the start of the World Congress 2010.
